After everyone gets enough sun and sea, our tour is off to the town of Naoussa, a hidden destination in Northern Greece. Bike through the scenic little mountain villages of the area and feel the fresh air, drink cold water from natural mountain springs, and eat fruits right from the trees. Take a biking tour through the vineyard-painted hills and taste Xinomavro wine. And we guarantee that the colorful scenery will never fade away from your memory!

Tour day by day

1st day | Welcome to Greece

We will welcome you in Thessaloniki and then head together to the second finger of peninsula Halkidiki. Once there, we’ll have a light lunch in the hotel’s bistro overlooking the Aegean Sea. After a bike fitting and safety review we will enjoy the sun, swim in the sea and play beach volley and other games. Later we will have a beach barbecue while appreciating the view of the setting sun reflecting on the sea. Feeling the warm sand on your bare feet, while savoring some of the region best wines and listening to the soothing sounds of the sea, you will know that your holidays have already started!

2nd day | Discover the secluded bays

After breakfast, we will cycle along the coastline, on unexplored roads where nature is pure and sea panoramas are stunning. We will refresh ourselves with a frappe at the beach bar where Balkan celebrities meet under the white umbrellas, wearing big sunglasses to keep their presence incognito. Just like celebrities, we will be picked up by a boat, and explore the numerous secluded bays. Our captain will anchor next to our hotel. For dinner we will have fresh Aegean fish accompanied by local wine.

3rd day | Pame paralia

Enjoy a light breakfast and get prepared to meander up from the sea to the mountain where you’ll have uninterrupted view of the first finger of Halkidiki all the way to the holy Mount Athos on the third finger of the peninsula. We will cycle down the hill through maritime pines and olive trees on our way to our favorite hidden beach for a swimming break. We will have lunch there at the local tavern with our feet on the sand.

In the evening, relax in the hotel or on the beach and walk on the beachside to the bar on the hill. At night there, you can count the lights of the fisher boats and the stars.

4th day | Bike through vineyards

We will start our day in a hidden paradise; you just have to wear your swim suit! After a light lunch you can directly ride your bike or optional be transferred by our van to start the bike route directly form the vineyards. We will cycle through Greece’s largest organic vineyard to reach the winery, where we will tour the cellar and taste the wines.

We’ll celebrate tonight with a dinner in the historical village of Parthenonas enjoying the fabulous sunset over the sea.

5th day | Welcome to Naoussa

Today we will pack our bags and set off for Naoussa, after making a stop to an important archaeological site: the school of Aristotle, where the young prince Alexander studied under the great philosopher. Once you have made yourselves comfortable in a boutique hotel in the town centre and have put on your bike fitting, we will take a small bike tour through Naoussa’s countryside to reach the mountain village of Arkohori. There, we will taste the Greek “mezedes” in the main square where locals meet.

6th day | The Wine Roads

We will set off our ride through the wonderful green stretches passing by apple, cherry and peach trees. We will take a scenic spin through vineyards of local grape varieties and try few of them at our wine tasting. We will visit local wineries and enjoy the wine tasting of full bodied Xinomavro.
In the evening, the wine qualities we have tasted will be reviewed by a young upcoming winemaker/oenologist. A traditional exquisite dinner will follow in his family’s farmhouse.

Last Day | Ancient Greek history

Enjoy a breakfast of a typical Northern Greek pie and homemade jam in the hotel’s century yard. Of course no visit to North Greece is complete without visiting Vergina, the first capital of the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia, which dates from the 11th century BC. After a guarded visit through the monuments, we will drive you to Thessaloniki and see you of at the port.
